I have now conpleted checking all the VICARY entries on the 1911 UK census. There are 984 individuals, 343 ( 35%) of whom were in Devon, 168 (17%) in London and 62 (6%) in Somerset.
This compares with 3195 VICKERYs of whom 534 (17%) were in Somerset, 493 (15%) in London and 445 (14%) in Devon.
There were also 34 spelt VICKARY, 26 spelt VICAREY and 17 spelt VICCARY
